Experiencia migratoria, síndrome postraumático y adaptación: un estudio de caso
Resumen
El objetivo de este trabajo fue analizar la experiencia migratoria de una familia venezolana radicada en Chile con manifestaciones asociadas a un cuadro de adaptación con síntomas de estrés postraumático. Se reporta un estudio de caso simple de diseño incrustado descriptivo a partir de la microhistoria. Los participantes constituyen una familia (padre, madre y dos niños), considerando
tres contextos: viaje inicial del padre; viaje de la familia completa posteriormente; adaptación. Los resultados muestran que las motivaciones familiares se asemejan a las de la comunidad migrante venezolana; el tránsito migratorio trajo consigo duelo migratorio,
discriminación, dificultades regulatorias y aparición de un cuadro de adaptación por síndrome de estrés postraumático. La migración
es un derecho experimentado de forma contextualizada; las redes de apoyo favorecen la adaptación; se precisa de políticas migratorias integrales.
Abstract
The aim of this work was to analyze the migratory experience of a Venezuelan family living in Chile with manifestations associated to an adjustment disorder with post-traumatic stress symptoms. A simple case study of descriptive embedded design based on
microhistory is reported. The participants constitute a family (father, mother and two children), considering three contexts: initial trip of the father; subsequent trip of the whole family; adaptation. The results show that family motivations are similar to those of the
Venezuelan migrant community; the migratory transit brought with it migratory mourning, discrimination, regulatory difficulties and the appearance of a post-traumatic stress syndrome. Migration is a right experienced in a contextualized manner; support networks favor adaptation; comprehensive migration policies are needed.
