Primeros registros de la emergencia diaria de Prebaetodes meridinensis Chacón, Pescador y Segnini, 2010 (Ephemeroptera: Baetidae) en un río de selva nublada de los Andes venezolanos

Abstract

First records of daily emergence of subimagines of Prebaetodes meridinensis Chacón, Pescador & Segnini, 2010, in La Picón
River, in a cloud forest in the Cordillera de Mérida, Venezuela are presented. The daily emergency pattern observed for the
species was associated with the daily variation of water and air temperature. Prebaetodes meridinensis emerged between 13:00
and 19:00 h, period during which the daily values of water and air temperature were relatively high. This report provides
the first data on the bioecological knowledge of the species
