Epicauta chaima López-Estrada, Sánchez-Vialas, Ruiz & García-París, 2022 (Coleoptera: Meloidae), nuevo registro para el estado Trujillo, Venezuela

Abstract

Based on an examination of material deposited from of the genus Epicauta Dejean, 1834, in the collection of the Insect Ecology Laboratory at the Universidad de Los Andes (CLEI-ULA), Epicauta chaima López-Estrada, Sánchez-Vialas, Ruiz & García-París is reported as a new record for the state of Trujillo, Venezuela. This finding expands the geographical distribution of the species to the west of the country, in the andean-lacustrine foothills.
