Resumen

Follistatin-like 1 (FSTL1) is a glycoprotein produced in adipose tissue that affects various pathological conditions, namely cardiovascular, autoimmune, neoplastic, osteoarticular conditions, and obesity. Obesity is associated with chronic inflammation characterized by increased production of proinflammatory cytokines and accumulation of macrophages in adipose tissue. Some indicators for determining obesity include anthropometric parameters; these measurements are individual, including height, weight, body mass index (BMI), waist circumference, and hip circumference ratio. Anthropometric measurements have been carried out, including height, weight, body mass index (BMI), waist circumference and hip circumference ratio, blood pressure measurements, fasting blood sugar examinations, and glucose tolerance tests, and continued with measuring FSTL1 levels in serum using the Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) method on 70 research subjects to determine the relationship between anthropometric parameters and serum FSTL1 levels in healthy adult subjects. The results of the study showed that the results of the Pearson correlation test showed that there was no relationship between BMI, Waist Circumference, Hip Circumference, Waist, and Hip Ratio with FSTL-1 (p-value > 0.05)
